My Advice to Future Students
What to pack:
APPLE AIRTAG!: I highly recommend investing in an Apple Airtag, unfortunately multiple people on our trip got their luggage lost and had to buy new clothes.
Clothes: For the festival I would strongly suggest comfort over style. Save the cute outfits for going out or dinner with friends!
Eating: if you have dietay restrictions prepare in advance
I only eat white meat and was not prepared for how difficult it would be to find food I could eat, especially in Toulouse. It was really hard to find dishes that did not have meat in them and a lot of places were not able to make substitutions to accommodate me. If you have a dietary restriction I would recommend going to a grocery store/ convenience store once you get there and stocking up on some snacks in case you can’t find a place you can eat at right away.

Health: take care of yourself!
Once at the festival sometimes your eating schedule can get irregular because of everything that’s going on. Just listen to your body at the moment when you are hungry, thirsty or tired, and make sure you get what you need even if it means taking a break because you don’t want to miss out on the festival and trip if you get sick or start to feel unwell.

Mindset: Live in the moment
Enjoy yourself while you are there and soak in all of the information and good times! Go into the trip and festival with an open mind and while you are there focus on the positive and the fact that you are at the festival as a student which is a great opportunity. This trip I made core memories that I will never forget and I would do anything to go back!

Extend your trip: just do it
I was fortunate enough to be able to extend my stay in Europe. I made a great friend on the trip who was also spontaneous enough like me to cancel our flights with no exact plan in mind. We ended up going from Cannes to Monaco, to Marseille, to Barcelona, to Montpellier. We had a crazy trip with adventures and memories that are so valuable to me. You aren't always able to be young and in Europe in your life so just do it!
